Obituary of Ryan D. Herold

Titusville, FL | Ryan D. Herold, 42, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2015 after a heroic battle with cancer. Ryan was born in Richmond, IN on March 12, 1973 to Mike and Mindy (Smith) Herold. He graduated from Lake Placid High School in Lake Placid, FL and from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He married LeeAnne (Cady) Herold on July 3, 1999. Together they have two children, Cade and Madison, whom Ryan loved beyond measure. Ryan was employed as a project manager and estimator at Brewer Paving and Development. His passion for sports and the joy he had in spending time with Cade and Maddy led him to volunteering in the Port St. John community, where he coached Little League and the Space Coast Viper Swim Team. Ryan enjoyed working in the yard, putting up impressive displays of holiday decorations, and watching his beloved Florida Gators. He was well known for his infectious smile, willingness to help others, and his unique ability to bring out the very best in those he coached. Above all else, family was everything to Ryan. He is survived by his wife, LeeAnne, and children, Cade and Madison; parents, Mike and Mindy Herold; siblings: Karrah (Herold) Hudkins, Wes Herold, and Mitch Herold; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Cindy Cady of Troupsburg, NY; brothers-in-law: Bill Hudkins, Steve Cady, Nick Sanchez, Joe Cady, and Adam Welch; sisters-in-law: Jaclyn (Morey) Herold, Lindsey (Black) Herold, Stephanie (Foster) Cady, Susana Sanchez, Priscilla (Watson) Cady, and Marjie (Cady) Welch; nephews: Bryce, Cooper, Wyatt, Dalton, Parker, and Amar; nieces: Emma, Lily, Kennedy, Alannah, Skyler, Ariel, Emily, Cameron, and Jimena; grandmother, Hilda Herold; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ryan was predeceased by his sister, Erin Herold; grandparents, Gene and Donna Smith and Ralph and Virginia Herold; and nephew, Brock Cady. Family, friends, and others whose lives Ryan touched are invited to the H.P Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY on Tuesday, October 13th. Calling hours will be from 12:00 until 2:00 pm, with a memorial service immediately following with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be made in Woodhull Cemetery, Woodhull, NY.
