��Woodhull, NY | George E. Space, 63, of St. Rte. 417, Woodhull, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Corning Hospital after a long illness. George was born in Corning on April 22, 1952, the son of Charles and Roberta (Rockwell) Space. He attended school in Addison where he was a 1970 graduate of Addison Central School. In school George participated in the FFA Chapter and studied building trades at BOCES where he graduated top in his class there. On November 1, 1976, he and the former Flora O'Brian were married in Addison. Flora survives. George was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was raised on the family farm in Addison and he and Flora purchased their farm in Woodhull shortly after being married. His whole life revolved around his love of farming and the love of his family. Even when ill, George would sit for hours on his porch to observe all the activity on the farm. He adored his family and looked forward to family gatherings and time spent around the dinner table together. George was an avid fan of the Woodhull Raceway and he was always more than willing to help anyone in need in any way that he could. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Space and his brother, Charles Space Jr. Surviving is his wife Flora at home, his sons, Robert Space and Thomas Space, both of Woodhull, his daughters, Angela (Ricky) Williams of Greenwood, Melanie Space of Lindley and Gina (Don) Edmister of Elmira, his grandchildren, Dylon Space, Davian Cook, Kylen Williams, Hayden Williams, Creshel Asma, Megan Jones, Mitchell Jones, Emileigh Edmister, Haileigh Edmister, Jacob Clark and Evan Clark, his mother, Roberta Space of Addison, his brother, James Space of Addison, his sister, Audrey (Richard) Starkey of Addison, many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins and his lifelong friends, George Farrand of Woodhull and Mike Lewis of Addison. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 13 from 7-9 PM and again on Wednesday from 1-2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM on Wednesday. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.��
