Obituary of Earl Joseph Sherwood

Jasper, NY | Earl Joseph "Jody" Sherwood, 44, of Cty. Rte. 21, Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the home of his fianc�e in Dansville following an extended illness. Born in Hornell on March 3, 1971, Jody was the son of Lavern and Shirley Brownell Sherwood. He was raised in Jasper where he graduated from Jasper Central School. Jody was a construction contractor and owned and operated Sherwood Builders. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was a very talented drummer. He played drums in several bands in the area over the years, including Bad Seed, Phantonz, Rubber Beaver Band, Prism and Stacd. Surviving is his fianc�e, Nikki Bell of Dansville, his parents, Shirley and Lavern Sherwood of Jasper, his daughters, Kayla Sherwood of Chicago, IL, Katy Dixon of Almond and Kaylieanna Sherwood of Hornell, his step children, Chris Marino, Jesse Brown, Dakota Brown, Derek Bell and Logan Bell, his siblings, Deanne (Mike) Bagley of Bath, James (Reba) Sherwood of Cameron Mills, Debbie (Robert) Stone of Addison and Bonnie Rice of Elmira, special cousins and his buddies, George and Wayne Ashbaugh, special niece, Joni Lynn Reisman, along with several uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Following Jody's wishes, there will be no services or visitation. ��� Memorial contributions may be made to the "Jody Sherwood Children's Trust", c/o Community Bank NA in Woodhull, NY.��
