Obituary of Helen L. Smith

��CAMERON: Helen L. Smith, 76, of Cty. Rte. 10 passed away Sunday (Nov. 1, 2015) at her home following a brief illness. Helen was born January 21, 1939, in Cameron to Kenneth and Minnie (Evans) Nolton. On January 28, 1954 in Beaver Dams she married Raymond F. Smith who predeceased her in June of 1997. She was also predeceased by one brother: Royce Nolton and as well as six sisters: Marilyn Taylor, Lillian French, Shirley Foster, Marjorie MacDonald, Evelyn O'Konski and Kathryn Young. Helen was a lifelong resident of Cameron where she raised her family and had worked for 21 years at the Addison School District retiring in 1993. Survivors include three sons: Raymond "Frank" (Tamala) Smith, Jr., Gerald "Jake" (Marjorie) Smith and Wayne (Audrey) Smith all of Cameron, one daughter: Ella Mae Herrington of Woodhull. She is also survived by two sisters: Mary Jane Smith of Cameron, Wanda Boyd of Clarksville, TN, two brothers: William (Joyce) Nolton and Richard Nolton both of Cameron, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo, where a funeral service will take place Wednesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Morris Gridley officiating. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, town of Rathbone. Memorial contributions in Helen Smith's name may be made to the Cameron Vol. Fire Dept.
