TROUPSBURG: Carl E. Goodwin, Jr., 60, of Harkenrider Rd. passed away unexpectedly Saturday (Jan. 2, 2016) at St. James Mercy Hospital after being stricken at home. Carl was born November 6, 1955 in Hershey, Pa. to Carl E. and Dayna P. (Bertsler) Goodwin. On May 23, 1981 in Middletown, Pa. he married the former Marsha S. Twiss who survives and resides in the town of Troupsburg. He was predeceased by both his mother and father. Carl was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He was very fortunate in earlier years to hunt out West for mule deer and elk and very much enjoyed deer season near home. He will be forever remembered as a very loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time spent with his family. In addition to his wife of 34 years, Marsha Goodwin of Troupsburg, Carl is survived by a son Matthew Goodwin of Troupsburg, three daughters: Veronica (Nathan) Duhovis of Blythewood, S.C., Brittany (Nicholas) Young of Hornell and Katie Goodwin of Troupsburg. Two wonderful grandchildren: Megan and Jordan Duhovis. Carl is also survived by two sisters: Bonnie (Donnie) Baumbach and Debra Brown all of Pa. There will be no calling hrs. or service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Carl E. Goodwin, Jr.'s name may be made to the Troupsburg Vol. Fire and Ambulance, Main St. Troupsburg, N.Y. 14885.
