Obituary of Dorothy E. Sherwood

WEBSTER: Dorothy E. Sherwood, 87, passed away Monday (Jan. 4, 2016) at her home following an extended illness. Dorothy was born March 15, 1928, in Rochester the only daughter of Frederick and Dorothy (Moore) McMullen. On August 27, 1949 in Rochester she married David W. Sherwood, who predeceased her in August of 1998. Dorothy, David and family had relocated from Greece, N.Y. to Monroe, N.Y. in 1961. She and her husband moved to Hartford, WI. in 1975 and following David's death in 1998 she returned to the Rochester area and resided in Webster. Survivors include a son: David F. Sherwood of Webster, a daughter: Nadine (Irven) Rose of Shohola, Pa., three grand children: Nadine Nott, Joshua (Lisa) Rose and Jessica Rose. She is also survived by three great grandchildren: Austin, Emmalee and Lily Nott. A graveside service will take place Saturday at 11:00 am at the Hedgesville Cemetery, town of Woodhull. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a local library of the donor's choice.��
