��GREENWOOD: Mildred M. Clark, 101, formerly of Greenwood passed away Wednesday (Jan. 6, 2016) at Hornell Gardens where she had been residing since 2007. Mildred was born November 9, 1914 in the town of West Union to Robert and Mae (Holt) Sherman. She was predeceased by her husband Bert M. Clark, a daughter Shirley Bettinger, and son-in-law Charles Bettinger, a grandson Shawn Clark, and was also predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Mildred had worked for many years at the former Westinghouse Company in Bath. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family very much and was always ready to lend a helping and loving hand when needed. She was a member and past matron of the Greenwood Order of Eastern Star and was also a member of the Young Hickory Church in Troupsburg. Mildred is survived by a son Gary Clark (Carroll) of West Almond, 8 grandchildren: Bradley Clark, Mark Bettinger (Theresa), Rhonda Poorman, Sherry Pierce, Jeremy Clark (Becky), Anthony Clark, Timothy Clark and Tina Jarrett as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Velma Sherman of Adrian. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Saturday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo where funeral and committal services will take place immediately following calling hrs. at 3 pm. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, N.Y. Memorial contributions in Mildred's name may be made to the Greenwood Vol. Fire Dept. and Ambulance, c/o Melissa Waters, 751 Andover St. Greenwood, N.Y. 14839.�� Service: Saturday: January 9, 2016 3:00pm�� H.P.
