Obituary of Gail A. Harris

Gail A. Harris, 73, of County Route 6, Cohocton, NY, formerly of Woodhull, passed away at home on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Gail was born in Caribou, Maine on April 24, 1942, the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth (Scott) Page. On Nov. 27, 1959 she married Carlton "Pat" Harris in Caribou. Pat preceded her in death on July 22, 2013. Gail studied nursing in Elmira and practiced as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She had been employed by the Steuben County Infirmary in Bath and also by Elcor Nursing Facility in Horseheads. She worked most of her career as a home health nurse, being associated with Americare in Elmira. She and Pat had made their home in Woodhull for many years but she moved to her daughter Laurie's home in Cohocton following his death to be near family. Besides Pat, Gail was predeceased by her brothers, Sterling Page and Frederick Page Jr. Surviving are her daughters, Sherry Patterson of Bedias TX and Laurie (Jack) Lewis of Cohocton, her son, Bret Harris (Kathy Turner) of York, SC, her grandchildren, Brandon (Jaime) Seeley, Kayla (Rev. Shelby) Deatherage, Patrick (Jaime) Lewis and Jack (Erika) Lewis II, her great grandchildren, Malaki Deatherage, Zavan Deatherage, Zoe Deatherage, Austin Lewis, Braylyn Lewis, Jocelyn Lewis and Bradley Lewis, her brother, Ronald Scott and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, January 14 from 6-8 PM and again on Friday from 10-11 AM at the Haskinsville Wesleyan Church, Haskinsville Road, Town of Fremont. Funeral services will be held there on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Adam Smith and Pastor Tammie Swaney officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.��
