��WHITESVILLE: James D. "Jim" Ellison, 75, passed away on January 22, 2016 in Waterman Hospital surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on May 26, 1940, a son to Delbert and Alice (Perkins) Ellison and spent most of his life in Whitesville, NY. He married his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Hyde Ellison on June 20, 1959. They raised three children while living in Whitesville, NY. Most of those years were spent working in Ellison's Feed Service, Jim's Lounge & Ellison's One Stop. He and Carolyn relocated to Lake County, Florida in 1989 where he worked as a truck driver until his back problems forced him to retire. Other than the well-known fact that he was obsessed with everything FORD his favorite hobby was collecting die-cast cars. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carolyn. Two sons, Kevin (Darla) Ellison, Scott (Dawn) Ellison and one daughter, Karen (Robert) Lightsey. 11 grandchildren and their spouses: Kristie & Matt, Robert & Tabatha, Zack, Brittany, Rachel, Coley, Dylan, Erika, Falyn & Graci. One great granddaughter: Emma. One special sister Mary Angela Dunbar & several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo. Funeral and committal services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Whitesville Rural cemetery, Whitesville, N.Y. Memorial contributions in James "Jim" Ellison's name may be made to either the American Heart Association, P.O.
