Obituary of Marjorie F. Stuart

��CAMERON: Marjorie F. "Midge" Stuart, 83, formerly of Cameron, passed away peacefully Thursday (Feb. 4, 2016) at the ELCOR Health Facility in Horseheads where she had resided since July of 2012. Midge was born October 6, 1932, in Hornell to Milton and Dorothy (Jacobs) Houghtaling. On August 26, 1950 in Addison, she married Kenneth Stuart who predeceased her in September of 2001. In addition to her parents and husband Midge was also predeceased by a half brother William Shea. Midge was a life long resident of the Cameron area who was a home maker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the company of her family and friends but also liked to sew, knit, crochet, embroider and read a good book, she loved to read. Survivors include three daughters: Peggy Schwartz of Pelham, AL. Dorothy Helstrom of Horseheads and Ann Carvell of Jonesboro, La., two sons: Jeffrey Stuart of Piqua, Ohio and Ken Stuart, Jr. of Cameron, she is also survived by a sister Anna Gammet of Georgia, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Monday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo where a memorial service will take place immediately following calling hrs. at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
