Leroy E. Fenton, 73, of Sherwood Road, Cameron Mills, NY, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Born in Ithaca, NY on May 20, 1938, Leroy was the son of the late Earl and Pauline Maine Fenton. On October 7, 1961, Leroy and Betty J. Moss were married in Addison. A long time farmer, Leroy had worked on the Williams farm in Cameron Mills for many years. He had also been employed by the Steuben County Highway Department as well as assisting in transporting mobile homes. He was also an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Betty Fenton at home, his step children, Ronald (Sharon) Dailey of Addison, Donald Dailey of California, Sue Ann Ellis of Campbell and Paula Campbell of North Carolina, his sisters, Viola Horton of Jasper, Linda Newkirk of Louisiana, Stella McChesney of Painted Post and Denise Inman of Dansville, 9 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday, April 7 from 1 to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Knopf officiating.
