Clem L. Wright, 74, formerly of Savona, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads. Clem was born in Bath, NY on July 13, 1941, the son of the late Nelson Elmer and Anna Maude Wright. He entered the US Army as a young man, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Clem was a machinist at Ingersoll Rand Co. in Painted Post, retiring in 2004. He had also worked as an over the road truck driver. He was married to Janice Jones and they had two children together, Scott and Rickey. He later married Susanne Savacool and they had three children, Jennifer, Lane and Clem. Clem had enjoyed square dancing and had belonged to dancing groups in the area. He had also been a league bowler. He loved sharing time with his family. Clem enjoyed working with cars and loved to spend time at his son Scott's auto repair shop. Surviving are his wife, Susanne Wright of Elmira, his children, Scott Wright (Kelly Crans) of Cameron, Jennifer Wright (Chris Dunlap), Lane Wright and Clem Wright, all of Elmira, 6 grandchildren, his brother, William Wright of Citrus, FL, his sisters, Janet Potts of Citrus, FL and Sherry Locey of Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. Clem was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Lynn Wright on Aug. 22, 2013, his brothers, Duane Wright Sr., Donny Wright, Elmer Nelson Wright Jr., Robert Wright, John Wright and Steven Wright and his sister, Charlene Wright. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 10 from 6-8 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Wednesday at 12 noon with Rev.
