Obituary of Nancy R. White

Woodhull, NY | Nancy R. White, 74, of W. Main St. Woodhull, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. Nancy was born in Rathbone, NY on May 23, 1942, the daughter of the late Raymond and May Risley Farrand. She was raised in the Hedgesville area and was a true farm girl through and through. She was a 1961 graduate of Jasper Central School. On June 3, 1962, she and Neil A. White were married at the Rathbone Methodist Church. Neil survives. Nancy was a homemaker most of her life but had worked at Westinghouse Electric in Bath for a short time following school. She and Neil lived in the Rochester area for many years before returning to the area in retirement. While in Monroe County, they opened their home to countless foster children, a responsibility which gave them great pride and satisfaction. Nancy loved to travel and camping was often a huge part of their travels. Her family made many dear memories while camping, no matter how basic and rough the original outings were. She enjoyed working with ceramics as well as attending horse auctions. Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Vern White on Jan. 8, 2012, her beloved grandson, Jeremy White on Apr. 27, 2001 and her sister, Joan Jackson. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Neil White of Woodhull, her sons and daughter in law, Raymond and Colleen White of North Pole, Alaska and Neil White Jr. of Woodhull, her daughter, Lorraine Guyette of Fairport, NY, her daughter in law, Ann White of Jasper, grandchildren, Cherlayne White, Alyssa White, Jared (Tara) Guyette, Andria (David) English, Samantha White, Megan White, Kelli White, Kaitlyn White and McKenzie White, great grandchildren, Brayden, Brielle and Addison, her brother, Donald (Anna) Farrand of Woodhull, her brother in law, Stacy Jackson of Cameron and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 12 at 2 PM at Woodhull Cemetery with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.
