Naples formerly of Canisteo and Hornell, passed away Tuesday (June 28, 2016) in Naples at the home of his dear friend and companion Robin Crist, following a courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born June 25, 1956 in Corning to John and Marguerite (Olds) Baker. Jack was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving our country proudly from 1973-78. He would often be heard saying "Once a Marine always a Marine." Jack lived in California for better than 20 years after serving in the Marine Corp where he owned and operated his own landscaping business. He also loved music and was a very spiritual person. Jack had a glowing smile and wonderful personality, he will truly be missed but not forgotten. Survivors include: a son: Jeremiah Baker of Dayton, Ohio, sisters: Virginia (Lloyd) Young of Canisteo, Susan Kull (Steve Groves) of Hornell and Thara (Donald) Fisher of Dalton, one brother: James Osborne of Ontario, CA. he is also survived by two grandchildren and very close friend and companion Robin Crist of Naples.
