Obituary of Sharon L. Stutzman

Sharon L. "Sherry" Stutzman, 54, of St. Rte. 417, Jasper, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation in Corning following a short illness. Born in Corning on Mar 8, 1962, Sherry was the daughter of Walter and Carol Grant O'Dell. She grew up in Woodhull. She married Douglas E. Stutzman on Jan. 8, 1986 in Rathbone, NY. Sherry was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandkids. Those times became even more precious since the onset of her illness. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of card games. She also loved to share time with her grandchildren as they colored pictures together. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Stutzman of Jasper, her children, Shelly (Zoran) Bullock of Newfield, Deanna Stutzman of Parma, OH and Douglas Stutzman (Nicole Sanderson) of Corning, her grandchildren, Kyra Hendershot and Ethan Stutzman, her parents, Carol and Loul Belcher of Jasper, her sister, Dureen (Bob) Kernan of Cameron Mills, her mother in law, Lillian Stutzman of Corning and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Walter O'Dell and her brother, Douglas O'Dell. Friends may call on Thursday, July 28 from noon to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Her funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Randy Madison officiating.
