Obituary of Wayne N. Sutton

CAMERON: Wayne N. Sutton, Sr., 55, of Yost Rd. passed away Friday evening (July 29, 2016) at his home surrounded by the love and care of his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Wayne was born November 17, 1960 in the town of Urbana, to Donald C. and Shirley M. (Clark) Sutton. He was employed as a farm hand for the Leo Dickson & Sons Farm and Dickson's Environmental Services of Bath. He was a life time member of the Savona Rod & Gun Club and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He also enjoyed dancing, either square dancing or all other types of dance. If there was a dance to be found, you could always count on Wayne to be on the dance floor. Farming was his first love though. He enjoyed every aspect of farming whether it be field work, barn chores or general maintenance he enjoyed it all. Wayne is survived by his wife, Brenda Sutton of Cameron, a son: Wayne N. (Amanda) Sutton, Jr. of Youngsville, N.C. a daughter: Tara Hamilton of Bath. Three wonderful grandchildren: Bryden Wayne Sutton, Aiden Waite and Dylan VanOrder. He is also survived by five sisters: Barbara Laursen of Penn Yan, Patty Yarka (Don Gardiner) of Hammondsport, Betty Herrara of Corning, Linda (Don) Miller of Hornell and Dawn Hawley of Bath, one brother: Roger (Beverly) Sutton of Corning, his mother-in-law: Joyce Plank of Canisteo, brother-in-law: James T. Plank of Canisteo, three sisters: Charlene Thayer of Canisteo, Diana Plank (Weedy) of Bath and Marcia (Curtis) Rice of Canisteo, several nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, a sister Debbie Haley Angus and two brothers, Doug and Ronnie Sutton. Family and friends are invited for a time of fellowship and celebration of Wayne's life Tuesday from 3 pm -until at the Savona Rod & Gun Club, Bonny Hill Rd. Bath, N.Y. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Wayne's name may be made to the American Lung Association, 1595 Elmwood Ave. Rochester, N.Y. 14620
