Obituary of Lillian M. Stutzman

Lillian M. Stutzman, 83, of the Corning Center for Rehabilitation, formerly of Rathbone, passed away on Monday evening, Sept. 26, 2016 at Corning Center. Born in Tuscarora, NY on Jan. 28, 1933, Lillian was the daughter of the late Bliss and Mazie (Rockwell) Travis. She spent her childhood in Tuscarora. She married Robert H. Stutzman who preceded her in death on June 17, 1982. Lillian was a longtime seamstress at the Marion Rohr Co. in Hornell. She raised her family and spent most of her adult life in Rathbone. She enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and crocheting. A great animal lover, she would take care of every stray that came her way. Besides her husband Bob and her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Stutzman in 1990, her brother, Robert Travis, her sister, Florence Burdick and her daughter in law, Sherry Stutzman. Surviving are her sons and daughter in law, David and Rhonda Stutzman of Addison, Douglas Stutzman of Jasper, Robert Stutzman Jr. of Rathbone and Richard Stutzman of Rathbone, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Also surviving are her sisters, Mary Volpe of Corning and Betty Lathrope of Virginia, her sister in law, Wanda Travis of Bath and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 29 from noon to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Rev. Morris Gridley Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Addison Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Lillian's name to any SPCA of choice.�� Service: Thursday, September 29, 2016 2:00 PM�� H.P.
