Edward J. Berry Jr., 75, of Woodhull, NY, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Ed was born on Tiffin, Ohio on October 25, 1941, the son of the late Edward J. and Olga (Dackow) Berry. On July 1, 1967 in Tiffin, Ed married the former Margaret "Peg" Armstrong. Peg survives. Ed earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education and was a middle school guidance counselor in Cincinnati, OH for several years. He eventually left the education field after earning a degree in computer science. He became associated with the JC Penney Co. working first in Columbus, OH and later relocating to Dallas, TX. Ed retired from Penney's and became an independent computer consultant, doing work for various utility companies in the Dallas area. Ed and Peg had moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas following Ed's full retirement. They just recently moved to New York to be near Peg's family. Ed was an avid Barbershop music participant. He was a very talented singer belonging to numerous barbershop Quartet and Chorus groups over his life. He became a respected judge for national barbershop competitions and was a proud 50 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. While living in Ohio, Ed had obtained a private pilot's license. Surviving Ed are his wife, Peg Berry of Woodhull, NY, his step son and his wife, Randy and Karen Harris of Woodhull, his granddaughters, Kari (Seth) Gypson and Lyndsay Harris, his great grandchildren, Ania and Skylar, his sister, Carol Padula and his brother, Richard (Robin) Berry, all of Belvidere, NJ, his niece Jennifer (Tony) Staiano of Lake Wales, Fl and great niece, Madison. A memorial service and interment with be held at a later date at Yellow Frame Church in �� Service: At a later date to be determined�� Yellow Frame Church Newton, New Jersey��
