Joseph K. Allen, 81, of 2141 Doran Rd., Hot Springs, SD, died April 23, 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, SD. Born in Corning, July 4, 1930, he was the son of Oscar & Isabel Kelsey Allen. He was retired after 20 years service in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Learn Allen of Hot Springs, SD; one son, Michael Allen of Johnson City, NY; and his daughter, Julie Barros of McKinny, TX; brothers, Charles (Betty) Allen, Donald (Betty) Allen, Jack (Marilyn) Allen, Philip Allen, and Kenneth (Carol) Allen; sisters, Greta Ingersoll, Dorothy Bouton, Arlene (Jack) Marlatt, Arloween Dennis, Elma Jean Jacobus, & Vickie (James) Krisher; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Allen, & sister, Floris. Friends may call Thursday, May 3rd, at 10:00am at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St., Woodhull, NY, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am. Pastor Alan Lindmark will officiate. Burial will be in Hedgesville Cemetery with full military honors.
