Hornell, NY | Rosel "Rose" Baker, 96, of Hornell Gardens, Hornell, formerly of Woodhull, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Hornell Gardens, Born in Koblenz, Germany on September 10, 1920, Rose was the daughter of Johan and Katrina Bastuck. Following World War II, Rose married a US serviceman and moved to the United States. She was divorced and met James Louis Baker in Texas. They were married on April 29, 1950 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. They eventually moved to Louis' boyhood home in the Town of Woodhull where they lived together until Louis' death on April 24, 1985. Rose continued to live there until making her home at Hornell Gardens in 2006. Rose was self employed cleaner, working for various area families and businesses. Surviving is her son and daughter in law, William and Sharon Baker of Hilton, NY, her grandchildren, Kristen (Robert) Natale and their daughter, Kaitlyn of Hilton and Ryan William (Sue) Baker and their children, Jack and Isabelle of Spencerport. Friends may call on Friday, November 11, 2016 from noon to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will follow in Chenango Cemetery, Troupsburg, NY. ��� Service: Friday, November 11, 2016 2:00 PM�� H.P. Smith & Son Inc.
