John M. Antonio, age 73, of Stead School Road, Painted Post, NY, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Corning Guthrie Hospital. He was born October 14, 1943 in Corning to Cecelia and Guilio Antonio. He was an electrician for Corning Glass Works, retiring after 29 �_ years. He graduated from Corning Free Academy in 1962. Never one to sit still, John started working at an early age: mowing lawns, shoveling snow, running errands for the elderly in the neighborhood on Beech St. in Corning. He repaired bicycles and sold them at Campbell Merchandise Mart. In later years he had a tire business at his home, and of course he was a familiar sight on his Harley, riding anytime of the day or time of the year. In later years he spent time camping and fishing with friends and relatives at Kozy Grove Campground in Bradford, NY. John was predeceased by his parents and brothers in law, Earl (Evelyn) Pearsall, Ralph Pearsall and Ken (Virginia) Pearsall and his sister in law, Doreen Pearsall. His survivors include his wife of 24 years, Elaine Antonio, two daughters, Angela Rose (Eric) Stull of Elmira and Diana (Scott) Wright of Woodhull, seven grandchildren, Seth, Marissa, Dahkiem and Michael Stull and Ryan (Kelly) Dibble, Ashley (Wes) Somma and Mason Wright. Step children, Ronald (Mary) Jacobson, Angela (Kevin) Martz, Robert (Autumn) Jacobson and Peter (Michele) Jacobson, step grandchildren, Samantha (Lee) Holtom, Ron (Anna) Jacobson, Abigail, Hannah, Lydia, Esther and Alex Martz and Jeremiah, Melissa, Hjalmer, Thomas, Charles, Aurora and Fin Jacobson. Great grandchildren, Ronald Jacobson, James Holtom and Kurtis Somma. Also survived by brother, Greg (Laurel) Antonio on Monterey, NY, brothers in law, Edward (Donna) Pearsall of Addison and Floyd Pearsall of Tucson, Arizona and sister in law, Betty Lou (Bob Kelchner) Pearsall of Watkins Glen, NY. John would want to remember also his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. John was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Addison and the Elkland Moose Lodge. Memorials may be made in John's name to either the Williams-Greengrass American Legion Post 730 in Addison or the Elkland Moose Lodge. A time of remembrance and memorial dinner will be held on Friday, December 2 at the American Legion Post on Maple St. Addison commencing at 2 PM. ��
