Obituary of Lois J. Tiffany

Lois J. Tiffany, 84, of Pine St. Woodhull, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at Hornell Gardens in Hornell following a short illness. Born in Woodhull on Sept. 24, 1932, Lois was the daughter of the late Bert R. and Florence (Ellsworth) Lamphear. She attended school in Woodhull. On July 16, 1953, she married Norman G. Tiffany Jr. Norm preceded her in death on July 11, 1988. Lois was a homemaker but had also been employed in the housekeeping department of the Lodge on the Green in Painted Post. She was a member of the Woodhull Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching old westerns as well as professional wrestling on TV. Lois had a great sense of humor and her spunky spirit was a great gift to her family, who she loved dearly. Besides her husband Norm, Lois was predeceased by her son, Michael Tiffany, her daughter, Robin Brown, her brother, Clair Lamphear and her sisters, Verda Miles, Bernadine Newell and Audrey Potter. Surviving are her children, David (Sue) Tiffany of Balston Lake, NY, Susan Woughter (Doug Babcock) of Arkport, Norma (Rick) Cleveland of Woodhull and Shawn Tiffany of Woodhull, grandchildren, Angela, Aaron, Micah, Joshua, Michael, Tiffany, Brian, Kevin, Stacey, Danielle, Cheyenne, Emily, Anthony, Shawnna, Johnathon, Nathan, Collin and Ryan, 25 great grandchildren , her furry companion, Scuff and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY on Monday, Jan. 2 from 2-4 PM. Funeral services will follow there at 4 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Chenango Cemetery, East Troupsburg.
