Lois A. Hassoldt, 84, of 3240 Chubb Hollow Road, Penn Yan, NY, formerly of Pittsford, entered into rest Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Rochester General Hospital.Born in Corning, August 28, 1927, she was the daughter of Walsteen and Leah Merring Church.She was a graduate of Addison High School and SUNY Alfred.She was a retired laboratory technician having worked for the Monroe County Health Department for several years and prior to that the Steuben County Health Department. She was a member of the Bluff Point United Methodist Church, a member and current Matron of Tuscarora-Woodhull Chapter 273 Order of the Eastern Star, the Lakeview United Methodist Church in Sun City, Arizona and also a member and Past Matron of Fairport Chapter OES. Lois was a founding member of the Pittsford Vol. Ambulance and also a member of the DAR, Onwentsia Chapter.She married William F. Hassoldt Jr. on June 24, 1950. He survives.Also surviving are two sons, William F. (Patricia) Hassoldt III of Addison and Robert Hassoldt of Kendrick, Idaho, her daughter, Anne (Robert) Housholder of Willoughby, Ohio and her grandchildren, Shelly, Chrisie, Jennifer and Michael, John, Anthony and Christina and 3 great grandchildren.Lois was predeceased by her son, Louis H. Hassoldt and her grandson, Louis T. Fenoff.Friends may call on Friday, October 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:45 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main Dt. Woodhull, NY where OES memorial services will be conducted at 7:45 PM followed by funeral and committal services. The Rev. Judy White will officiate.Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.Memorials will be received for the Eastern Star Home in Oriskany. Service: Friday, October 7, 2011 8:00 PM H.P. Smith & Son, Inc.
