Would like to reminisce how I remember "Red" as a young cousin of his who spent one week every summer at his parents farm with my father, Howard Tillinghast.(his uncle). I was younger and remember he had a trained horse that did tricks and we were warned not to go near him. This stuck with me because I loved horses. I played every summer with his sisters, Martha and Patti. Loved his mother, Florine, who always had homemade cookies and bread for this city girl to gobble up. Remember his father was very quiet and my dad enjoyed helping him on the tobacco farm. Was very close to his brother brother Ed (and Ann) who used to visit us in Elmira and whom I visited on their tenant farm home in Stanley N. Y. My condolences to "Red's children and his surviving sisters.
