LAKE CITY, FL/CANISTEO: Ruby Mae Bradley, 92, formerly of Third St. in Canisteo passed away peacefully Friday (January 27, 2017) at her home in Lake City, FL.
A native of East Hampton, CT Ruby was born on November 6, 1924 the daughter of the late Alexander and Ruby Devio. She was the wife of Clarence P. Bradley, Sr. who predeceased her in 1990. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter: Deanna M. Woods, grandson: Darwin Davis, a great-granddaughter: Lacey E. Brugge and a great-grandson: Jake Davis.
Ruby and Clarence were the loving parents of eleven children: Mary Jane (Albert) Woods and Sharon (Stanley) Eldridge all of Lake City, FL., Barbara (Donald) Davis of Cameron, Carol (David) Davis of Canisteo, John (Heidi) Bradley of Pembroke Pines, FL., Renee (Robert) DeCeu of Canisteo, Clarence (Debbie) Bradley, Jr. of Canisteo, Laurence N. Bradley of Greenwood, Robert (Kathy) Bradley of Cameron, Elizabeth (Bradley) Kirkpatrick of Jacksonville, FL., and Scott A. Bradley of Horseheads. She was the grandmother to 30 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 14 great, great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Terrance Peterson and two half-sisters; Mary (Paul) Goulet and Barbara (Michael) Snapp.
Ruby was a SPD Technician for many years with St. James Marcy Hospital retiring at the age of 73. She was a member of the Wellsville Seventh-Day Adventist Church and loved playing her piano and singing, which she sang solo many times in church when she was younger. She loved watching her sports and NASCAR, and was a faithful watcher to Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Her greatest joy and love was spending time with her many family members, she will be greatly missed.
There will be no public calling hours. Private family calling hours, funeral and committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
