Obituary of Vickie Jean Lehman

Vickie Jean Lehman, 64, of Bailey Hill Road, Lawrenceville, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA surrounded by her loving family.
Vickie was born in Wellsboro, PA on May 7, 1952, , the daughter of Milford L. and Reta A. Sawyer Pond. Growing up in Knoxville, she was a 1971 graduate of Cowanesque Valley Junior-Senior High School.
On October 14, 1972, Vickie married Frederick R. Lehman at the Knoxville Methodist Church. Fred survives.
Vickie was a nurse’s aide, working for over 20 years at Broad Acres Nursing Facility in Wellsboro. She was also office manager and payroll clerk for the family business, Lehman Construction operated by Fred. She was a member of the Knoxville Yoked Church and had also been attending Resurrection Tabernacle Church in Elmira.
Vickie adored her family and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She has been a constant caregiver to her parents over the last several years.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Frederick Lehman of Lawrenceville, her daughters, Ericka L. Lehman of Elmira and Yolanda J. Riley of Pine City, her granddaughters, Victoria R. Scott and Amanda Wenrich, her mother, Reta Pond of Knoxville, her brother, Martin (Amy) Pond of Savona, her sister, Tina (Henry) Dawley of Smethport, PA, her brothers in law and sisters in law and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Milford “Pondy” Pond and her brothers, Ronald Pond, Michael Pond and Bruce Pond.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening, Feb. 8 from 6 to 9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from noon to 2 PM at the Knoxville Yoked Church on Alba St. in Knoxville, PA. Vickie’s funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Rev. Gerald Glover officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Vickie’s name be made to the Corning Cancer Center, 2 Guthrie Drive, Corning, NY 14830.
