Katherine Volta, 85, of Bollen Road, Woodhull, entered into rest on Sunday, March 19 at the Steuben Center in Bath, NY.
Katherine was born in Rochester, NY on July 19, 1931 to George and Bessie Parchkevo Bojinoff. She married Joseph Volta Sr. on January 1, 1950 in Rochester. They made their home in there for many years and she was employed by Barnell Foam and Fiberglass in Rochester. Joseph preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Joseph and Cindy Volta Jr. of Woodhull, grandchildren, Joseph (Kimberly) Volta III of Arkport, Patricia Volta of Woodhull and Anthony (Nikita) Volta of Canisteo and great grandchildren, Gracie Mae, Anthony Jr., Kale, Lena, Joseph IV, Melissa and Shania.
Besides her husband Joseph, Katherine was predeceased by a set of twins prior to their birth, great granddaughter, Jaiden Lynn Volta, sister, Dorothy Hardy and brother, Thomas Bojinoff.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 24 from noon to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.
Burial will be in Norway Ridge Cemetery, Woodhull.
