Obituary of Lois M. Pepper

Lois M. Pepper, 90, of Absolut Care of Three Rivers, Painted Post, formerly of Addison, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus and was reunited with her beloved husband Bill on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Lois was born in Corning, NY on January 3, 1927, one of three daughters of Floyd and Clara Ryal Wilson. She attended Addison schools and was a 1945 graduate of the Addison High School. On October 19, 1946, she married John William Pepper in Addison. Bill preceded her in death on November 22, 2015. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Marcia Bostwick and Marian Wheeler.
Lois worked for many years as a dental secretary for Dr. Ralph Vona in Addison. She was a member and former treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Addison. Lois and Bill later attended the Community Church of Woodhull while living there. She served for many years as an election inspector in Addison and had also been a member of the Tuscarora-Woodhull OES Chapter. Following her retirement, Lois was a records volunteer for Guthrie Health System.
Lois and Bill enjoyed traveling and she had the ability of brightening anyone’s day that she encountered. Her family will remember her most as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Thomas and Barbara Pepper of Addison, John and Penny Pepper of Woodhull, Nancy and Brian Wirta of South Windsor, CT and Laura and Bus Fenton of Addison, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6 from 5 to 7 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 7 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.
Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.
