Roberta W. Krusen, 84, of Hornell Gardens, Hornell, formerly of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Hornell Gardens. Roberta was born in Canisteo on May 5, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Della Brownell Welty. She was a 1945 graduate of Jasper Central School. She and Alfred D. Krusen were married on Sept. 11, 1959. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2001. Her son, Lee Welty and grandson, Garrett Michael Welty also predeceased her. Roberta retired from Westinghouse Electric in Bath where she was an assembler. She was a member of the West Jasper Wesleyan Church. Surviving her are her daughter in law, Connie Welty of Rexville, her grandchildren, Todd Welty of Troupsburg and Holly (Marty) Miller of Barron Springs, VA, 3 great grandchildren, Cameron, Devin and Colston and several nieces and nephews including special niece Lelia Jean (Richard) Taft of Addison. Friends may call on Friday, October 21 from 4-8 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull. Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday at 11:00 AM with rev.
