Obituary of Sandra A. Krondahl

       Woodhull, NY | Sandra A. Krondahl, 79, of Woodhull, NY, passed away at home on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in the presence of her loving husband and daughter.

       Born in Kearny, New Jersey on April 30, 1938, Sandy was the daughter of the late Sven and Laura (McKinnon) Hagstrom. She grew up in Wanaque, New Jersey and attended schools there.

       On September 20, 1956, Sandy married Carl R. Krondahl in Elkland, MD. Carl was a career serviceman in the US Air Force so Sandy and Carl made their homes in various places around the country.

       They shared their lives and home with foster children over the years. They were both avid bluegrass music lovers and Sandy was a former member of the Southern Tier Bluegrass Association. Sandy had proudly served the Addison School District by sitting on a school district panel which advocated for special needs children in the district.

       Sandy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl R. Krondahl of Woodhull, her children and their spouses, Carl and Tina Krondahl of New Port Richey, FL, Cathy and Paul Ragnetti of Sparta, NJ, Kevin and Candi Krondahl of Madisonville, TN, Jonnee Krondahl of Woodhull and Dakota Krondahl of Bath, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

       Sandy was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Warren Hagstrom.

       Friends may call on Tuesday, November 7 from 5 to 7 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Wednesday at 11 am with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.

       Burial will be made in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
