Obituary of Priscilla Rude Deitrick
Priscilla M. Rude Deitrick, 76, of Absolut Care of Three Rivers, Painted Post, formerly of Freeman, NY, passed away at Absolut Care on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
Born in Elkland, PA on August 10, 1941, Priscilla was the daughter of the late Ivan E. and A. Lillian Avery Kline. She was raised in Elkland and attended school there. Her mother died when Priscilla was young and her father remarried. Her step mother Jessie became a loving mother figure in her life and helped raise Priscilla as her own.
On October 24, 1959, Priscilla married Lawrence F. Rude. Larry preceded her in death on November 10, 1992. She later married Carl Deitrick on November 11, 2001 and he passed away on June 15, 2013.
Priscilla was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was always her main focus and concern. She was a wonderful cook and baker and used those skills when working in various restaurants including the K Mart Café, the Silver Top Diner in Addison and the Mill St. Café in Woodhull.
She was an avid collector of bells of all types and loved animals of any kind. She had been a member and past president of the Addison Eagles Club Auxiliary. She had also been a volunteer with the Tuscarora Ambulance Corps.
Besides her husbands, Priscilla was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Tuttle and her step brother, Daniel Gee.
Surviving are her children, Lurene Webster of Mansfield, PA, Kim (Art) Gotshall of Presho, Cassandra (Corey) Putman of Addison, Michael (Sue) Rude of Weedsport, NY, Darrell Rude of Addison and Laurie (John) Mras of Newfield, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her sister, Shirley Tucker of Cameron Mills, her step sister, Shirley Crans of Cedar Grove, TN, her step brothers, Delbert Gee and Ronald Gee, both of Elkland and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in Woodhull Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
