Obituary of John H. Beaver

John H. (Jack) Beaver, 81, from Painted Post, NY went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 8, 1936, in Trevorton, PA to the late Gertrude and Roy Beaver. Jack retired from Dresser-Rand Co. with over forty years of service in November of 1997, where he served as the Quality Control Supervisor. Jack was a member and Past Master of the Corning-Painted Post Lodge #168 F&AM. He was also a member of the Corning VFW #524 and the Campbell American Legion #54. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's fan and golf was one of his passions.

Jack is survived by his loving children: Bradley (Mary Bennett), Gallatin, TN., Kelly (Becky Smith), Johns Creek, GA., John "Kirk"(Debbie Hayes), Addison, NY., Jaclyn (Erick) Lindsey, Mars, PA and his sister, Carol (John) Wilson from Ithaca, NY, Sister-in-Law, Jean Beaver of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and his grandchildren; Amanda, Matthew, Adam, Aaron, Amber and Skylor and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jack was predeceased in death by his daughter, Tasha Beaver; sisters, Connie and Ginny; brothers, Bob and Bill.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 7-9 pm on Friday, December 15 and 11 am -1 pm on Saturday, December 16 at the Twin Tiers Christian Church located at 36 Beartown Road in Painted Post, NY 14870. Jack's funeral service will follow there at the conclusion of visitation on Saturday at 1 pm. Pastors David Stalbird and Scott Towner will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, it was Jack's wish for donations to be mailed to the Oakley Hayes, Sr. Scholarship Fund, 42 Main Street, Addison, NY 14801.
