Obituary of Anna DuBois

HOWARD: Anna DuBois, 71, of Cty. Rte. 69, passed away Saturday (March 17, 2018) at her home following a long illness.

Anna was born July 4, 1946 in Hornell to Lawrence and Vesta (Hand) Mosher. On August 11, 1962 she married Carl Thomas DuBois who predeceased her on September 13, 1994.

Anna was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was affectionately referred to as "GG" by all her grandchildren.  She loved to listen to country music, enjoyed traveling around the area in search of yard sales and was an avid bird watcher. 

Anna is survived by two sons, Carl (Shelley) DuBois, Jr. and Kevin (Amber) DuBois of Canisteo, her daughter Penelope (Erich) Beaver of Hornell, 6 grandchildren, Kellie (Shawn) Brizzee, Kasey (Kristin Clancy) DuBois, Hiliary (Michael) Woodward, Hannah (Alan) Raycroft, Michael (Khristi O'Dell) DuBois and Nichole (Tim) Bailey and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Sylvia) Mosher of Canaseraga, Larry (Linda) Mosher of Canisteo, and two sisters, Kate (Robert) Meade of Cincinnatus and Donna (Thomas) Makitra of Bath, a brother-in-law Fred DuBois of Cameron and a sister-in-law Bonita House of Bradford, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 21 at the H.P Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo where a funeral service will take place immediately following calling hours at 8 pm with Rev. Daniel Pickering officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
