Obituary of Rhonda Kay Dibble

HORNELL: Rhonda Kay Dibble, 51, of Cty. Rte. 66 passed away peacefully Monday evening Sept. 24 in the Comfort Care Unit of St. James Mercy Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Rhonda was born January 17, 1967, in Hornell, to Nelson L. and Patricia (Hoyt) Dibble, Sr.

 

Rhonda lived the better part of her life in Kansas before moving to Hornell in 2013. She was a great fan of country music and loved to listen to Tim McGraw. She also enjoyed Michael Jackson and his music. Rhonda enjoyed watching movies of all kinds, but favored a good “scary movie’ anytime. She enjoyed watching WWF wrestling matches and was also a huge football fan cheering on her favorite teams the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.

 

Rhonda is survived by her mother, Patricia Carrizales of Hornell, her father and step-mother, Nelson L. and Sharon Dibble, Sr. of Hornell, two brothers, Nelson L. (Linda) Dibble, Jr. of Springwater, Ricardo J. (Emily) Carrizales of Leavenworth, KS, a half-sister, Amy Dibble of Hornell, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rhonda was predeceased by a niece Jami Dibble.

 

There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service and celebration of Rhonda’s life will take place on Saturday Oct. 6 at 1:00 pm at the Canisteo Wesleyan Church, Greenwood St. Canisteo. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

 

Memorial contributions in Rhonda’s name may be made to the Comfort Care Unit at St. James Mercy Hospital, 411 Canisteo St., Hornell, N.Y. 14843.
