       Caleb L. Smith, 24, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and formerly of Addison and Woodhull, passed away on Friday morning, October 5, 2018 in Miami, Florida.

       Born in Elmira, NY on February 28, 1994, Caleb was the son of David J. and Rosemary E. Rafferty Smith. He was a 2013 graduate of Addison Central School. Caleb had worked as a commercial roofing tech, having been employed recently by the Jolly Roofing and Construction Company of Nashville, TN. He worked hard and was a devoted employee and will certainly be missed by all who worked with him.

       Caleb loved motorcycles and especially motocross bikes. He enjoyed hotrods and was a fan of Ford Mustangs. Growing up with three brothers in the house, a common activity was boxing, which all of the boys became quite skilled in. The neighborhood boys who dared would join in as well. He was also very fond of any type of fishing.

       Caleb is survived by Megan Welch, the love of his life, his mother, Rosemary Rafferty-Smith (Richard Mansfeld), sissy, Jackie Smith (Dr. Anthony Grippo) and nephew Trever Smith, brother Mike James and his wife Tara and his niece Kit, brother, David Smith and sister, Dr. Emily Pica, brother Joshua Smith and sister Barbara Smith, twin brother Isaac Smith and his niece Chloe Rose Smith, brother Joshua Anthony and sister Shelby Poarch, he and Megan’s canine companions, Rosco and Lola, maternal grandfather, Thomas Rafferty, maternal aunts & uncles, Steven Rafferty (deceased), and sons Daniel (Amanda) Rafferty, Brian (Kelly) Rafferty, Jason Rafferty; Timothy Rafferty (Anne), and son Timothy K Rafferty Jr (deceased), daughter Kristen Rafferty; Colleen (Timothy) Morseman, and son Matthew (Kris) Morseman, daughter Heather (Andrew) Lowery; Robin (Mike) Benesh, and sons Brandon, Nathan, Collin Benesh, daughter Katelyn Benesh; Shaun Rafferty and daughters Jessica (Geoff) Thomas and Erica Rafferty (Ryan) and son Matthew Nevius (Skyler Wheaton); Sharon (James) Machuga and sons Ryan Rafferty, Justin Hyde, and daughter Corissa Hyde (Patrick); Michael Rafferty and sons Brennan and Patrick Rafferty and daughter Rachelle Rafferty (Desirea), paternal aunts & uncles, James (Patty) Smith, and sons Chad (Sarah Dickerson), Garrett Smith, and daughter Jennifer Sturgeon; John (Kris) Smith and sons Jeff (Ashley Lynn Hall) Smith and Cody (Christina) Smith; Vickie Smith-Drysdale (Mark Reynolds) and son Alex (Katherine) Drysdale; Michael (Brandi) Smith and sons Nicolas and Taylor Smith, and daughter Ava Smith and many dear friends.

       Caleb was preceded in death by his father, David J. Smith.

       The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 11 from 1-3 and 7-9 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607Main St., Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Friday at 1 pm with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.

       Burial will follow in Elk Creek Cemetery, Town of Woodhull.
