Charles L. McFall Sr., 74, of St. Rte. 414, Corning, went to be with his Lord very suddenly on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Chambers Wesleyan Camp in Beaver Dams. Chuck was born in Ulysses, PA on Oct. 11, 1937 and was the son of the late Orin and Nina Clark McFall. He attended school in Harrison Valley. On Dec. 20, 1963, Chuck and the former Barbara Bonham were married at the Faith Baptist Church in Gang Mills. Chuck was employed by Keuka Construction for 33 years. He and Barb created their refuse disposal business together in 1978 and they had operated McFall's 414 Service since, growing it from a single pick up truck. A very active servant of the Lord, Chuck and Barb had been long time members of the Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church in Beaver Dams where he had served in various positions within the church.. They later joined the Central Baptist Church in East Corning where they were members. Chuck had also been a Boy Scout Troop leader. Surviving Chuck are his wife Barbara McFall of Corning, his sons and daughters in law, James and Cheryl Jones of Hampstead, NC, Wesley and Sheila Jones of Lyman, SC, Charles McFall Jr. of Corning, Spencer and Silver McFall of Beaver Dams and Thomas and Deanna McFall of Corning, his daughters and sons in law, Linda and Gary Cornell of Horseheads, Penny and Mark Foley of Beaver Dams, Nicole and David Brefka of Corning, Holly and Michael Grant of Poland, OH, and Christina and Brent Pryslopski of Corning. His grandchildren, Rachael, Rebeccah, Robert (Kiely), Kristi (Billy), Chelsea, Crystal (Jonathan), Sarena, Charles III, Brittany, Austin, Riley, Bryce, Barbara (Steve), Nick (Kristy), Lorena (Christopher), Clover, Thomas Jr. and Hadden, his great grandchildren, Kelsey, Coe, Cameron, Ethan, Brayden, Jaydon, Penny, Rosaleigh and Tressan. Also surviving are his brother, William (Sheila) McFall of Wayne, his sister, Irene Baker of Elmira and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Central Baptist Church in East Corning on Friday afternoon, July 20, from 2 to 4 PM. Chuck's funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Pastor Ronald Aebersold officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Chambers Wesleyan Camp or Central Baptist Church.
