Obituary of Bertina L. Lozier

       Bertina L. Lozier, 95, of Bradford County Manor, formerly of Painted Post and Troupsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Troy Community Hospital in Troy, PA.

       Bertina was born in Campbell, NY on November 15, 1922, the daughter of Jesse and Inza (Lyon) Stickler. She was raised in Campbell and was a graduate of Campbell Central School.

       She married John G. Lozier who preceded her in death on November 26, 2010. They made their home in Troupsburg where Bertina began a long membership of the Brookfield United Methodist Church in Brookfield, PA.  She had been employed as an office assistant at the Northern Tier Veterinary Clinic in Knoxville, PA for several years.

       Bertina and John eventually made their home at the Village Manor Apartments in Painted Post following their retirements. While there, she was a very active volunteer at the Corning Senior Center.

       Bertina is survived by her sons, Stanley “Skip” (Sharon) Young of Watkins Glen, Jesse Lozier (Audrey Boyd) of Coudersport, PA and John Bayard (Donna) Lozier of Knoxville, her daughter, Robin (Robin) Munn of Sayre, PA, 12 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.

       Besides her parents and her husband, Bertina was predeceased by her sisters, Carolyn Colegrove, Nora Young, Myra Quatrini, Geraldine Cotter and Elsie Stickler.

       A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 3 at 1 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Rev. Brian Diffenbacher will officiate.

       Bertina will be buried with her parents in Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, NY.
