Obituary of Douglas Jay Hoaglin

       Douglas Jay Hoaglin, 55, recent resident of Steuben Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare of Bath, NY, and a previous resident of St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Care of Saint Johnsville, NY, passed away Friday afternoon, November 2, 2018 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center ICU in Elmira.

       Doug was born on June 9, 1963 to Richard and Ruth Hoaglin in Corning, NY. He was the youngest of 10 siblings.

       Doug lived and worked in Fort Wayne, Indiana for many years before returning to New York. His companion, Pamela Jacobson, preceded him in death while in Indiana. He worked in construction and carpeting until he could no longer work due to his health condition. He enjoyed music, history, family and friends.

       Doug is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Ruth Hoaglin and three brothers, Robert, John and Frederick (Sammy) Hoaglin.

       He is survived by four sisters and three brothers; Kay Marvin, Susan Van Dusen, Nancy Blank, Sara Jo Evans, David, Chris and Jamie Hoaglin. Also surviving are several brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.

       A private service will be held by his siblings at their convenience.
