I will always cherish the wonderful times and memories I had as a young boy going to visit my Aunt Cora, Uncle Dale and my Cousins in Almond N.Y. I also have always been, and will always be, deeply saddened by those tragic events the changed all of our lives forever. My very deepest sympathy goes out to all of my Cousins and your families in the loss of your mother and my Aunt Cora

So sorry to hear of this sad news. I dont have many first hand memories of Aunt Cora, but have been told many stories of Aunt Cora and Uncle Dale all my life.

Only the fondest of memories of summer vacations in Almond; gathering stones along the creek for the big fireplace; hearing Jim Reeves on the stereo.
And, sneaking down the "trail"; being introduced to that hair brush!
Aunt Cora was a very strong, capable woman who endured perhaps, the greatest of loss and went on to excel. I will hold a special place for her in my heart.

I did not know Cora, but I did have the pleasure of knowing one of her beautiful daughters Lisa Prisco. I first met Lisa working at Progressive and we have remained good friends. She talked a lot about her mom and I loved hearing the stories.
Lisa and Robert, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how sad and stressful this can all be. I will be thinking about you and your family at this time. Hugs and prayers for you both. Love you guys.

I always knew Cora was a strong independent woman, who wouldn't take any "guff" from anybody! I admired her tremendously.
It is sad that we don't really know just how much some people have accomplished in their lifetimes, until they are gone. She created some wonderful memories her family will cherish. My condolences to all.

So sorry to hear of this.
Aunt Cora/Tillie was my grandmother, Nettie/Mickey's, sister. I always loved going to Shallotte NC to visit at her 2nd home there on the water. And of course seeing her son, my giant cuz, Johnny/Tank. Trust me to the wee little lad I was then, Johnny was larger than life.
Her husband Eldrige (sp?), gave me my very first guitar at a quite young age. I believe I was 9-10.
So so many wonderful memories.
Such an amazing and tough woman, just like my HaHa. Memories I will forever hold in my heart.
My love goes out to all of my Thompson/Mills family.
