Obituary of Thomas N. Elliott Jr.
Thomas Elliott Jr., 66, of the Addison Back Road, Tuscarora, passed away suddenly at home early Saturday, February 16, 2019.
Born in Montour Falls, NY on August 19, 1952, Tom was the son of the late Thomas N. and Lucinda Mae (Reynolds) Elliott. He was a graduate of Addison Central School.
On March 17, 1973, he and the former Deborah J. Brimmer were married at the Risingville Methodist Church.
Tom was a welder by trade and was employed for several years by Storflex in Riverside, NY. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and wandering about taking in all of nature’s beauty and miracles. A skilled auto mechanic, Tom had been a participant in the Street Stock class at Woodhull Raceway and was a devout follower of NASCAR.
Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Deborah Elliott of Addison, his daughters, Tammy Elliott of Addison and Dawn Elliott (William Ladieu) of Bradford, his grandsons, Dustin Young and Stephen Young, his siblings, Richard (Bonnie) Elliott of Richmond, VA, Mae Elliott (Daryn Cheney) of Addison, Timothy (Rose) Elliott of Campbell, Beth (Leon) Shaut of Addison, Tina (Walter Scott) Norman of Hopewell, VA, Sally (Tom) Lechner of Addison and Teresa Orr of Bath, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lucinda Mae and Thomas Elliott Sr. who died together on May 6, 2013, his 13 year old daughter, Lucinda Rose Elliott, his brother, Paul Elliott who passed on Feb. 17, 2014 and by his aunt, Joanne Harrison.
Family and friends may call Monday, February 18 from 6-8 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. There will be no formal service.
Tom will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Addison Rural Cemetery.
