I met Mike at the Chess Center in Rochester where we played some highly competitive chess games, official USCF contests with a chess clock, over the years. And boy did we have FUN! Mike really loved to study and learn more about chess strategy and tactics in order to improve his mastery of the game. So often Mike would be accompanied by his friendly chess companions, Bill and Bob and others, as we all prepared to play our rated games on a Wednesday evening. Mike will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.
