Gertrude was so precious. When I lived in Woodhull I would go over to her house at night and Crochet with her. She shared her books with me and we would talk. I remember her telling me about how she checked and measured the precipitation (Faith). Mark remembers her well as the cafeteria manager at school when he was a kid and his dad hauling cattle from the farm for them. He was honored to be her pastor at Troupsburg. She was an inspiration to us.

My deepest sympathy to all Aunt Gertie's remaining family. She was a special lady and she will be missed. I have the fondest memories of being with her and the family on the farm. Those were the best summers of my life. I know she is resting with the Lord.
