Rose M. Willis, 78, of Grange St. Jasper, NY, entered into rest on Saturday evening, August 25, 2012, at McAuley Manor in North Hornell. Rose was born in Hornell on March 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel Woodworth Wing. She attended Arkport Schools. She was married to George E. Willis who preceded her in death in March 1992. Rose was a homemaker and belonged to the congregation of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Canisteo. Besides her husband George, Rose was predeceased by her brothers, Randall Dailey, Clinton Dailey, Fred Dailey, Chester Dailey and Francis Dailey. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Nenna of North Hornell, her sons, Michael (Irene) Reese of Fremont, Matthew (Jane) Willis of Westfield, PA, Timothy Willis of Jasper and Nathan Willis,of Painted Post, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, her sister, Joyce (Lloyd) Willis of Jasper, her brother, Dale Wing of California and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, August 31 from 1-3 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St., Canisteo, NY. A memorial service will follow there at 3 PM.
