Obituary of Stacy L. Bacon

CANSITEO: Stacy L. Bacon, 53, of Bush Hill Rd. passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. James Hospital, after being stricken at home. She was born April 18, 1969 in Corning the daughter of Clinton and Georgiann (Ross) Snyder. On August 24, 2007 in Wayland, she married Clarence “Skeeter” Bacon, Jr. who survives and resides in Canisteo. Stacy was a lifelong resident of the Canisteo Valley and was employed with the Canisteo/Greenwood cafeteria and kitchen staff for several years. She enjoyed her trips to the beach with family and friends, side by side rides and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Her greatest joy was her family. Her children and grandchildren were a wonderful part of her life and loved them dearly. In addition to her husband Clarence “Skeeter” Bacon, Jr. of Canisteo, Stacy is survived by a daughter: Traci Blake of Painted Post, sons: Nicholas Blake of Canisteo, Matthew Blake (Tallen Collen) of Wayland and Nathan Blake of Colorado. 2 wonderful grandchildren: Raven Elderkin and Daniel Blake as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Stacy was predeceased by her parents and first husband Daniel Blake. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, January 5th at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo, where funeral and committal services will follow calling hours at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
