Matt and I worked together at Walmart for a bit. His time there was spent being A. a hard worker and B. an absolute comedian. Matt was the most positive person I have ever met and loved to "prank" our coworkers with me. We both would talk loudly about being siblings in hopes that someone would actually believe we were related. He really was a light. Matt and I are not related in any way, but he felt like a brother to me. Matt treated me like a little sister and I haven't forgot that, even a year later.
1. Around Thanksgiving 2022 we talked about "Mom making turkey"
2. Matt would hide in the backroom, wait for me to walk in, and scare me at least once a day.
3. I would walk up to other coworkers and say, "Did you know Matt and I are brother and sister?" And Matt would come up and ask if we looked alike.
4. After quitting Walmart, Matt came in the store one day and I happened to be on the floor. He gave me the biggest bear hug, and I cried because it felt like a brother that missed me. Matt then said, "Quit crying and get back to work" to make me laugh before leaving.
I have so many other memories about Matt but each one centers him acting like a big brother, stand-up comedian, and overall, a genuinely good person.
(I only got one photo of him before he left Walmart and, although it is udderly ridiculous, it really shows how bright and humorous he was)
