I have such wonderful memories of him, even going back to my childhood days. He was always there for me to talk with when I was growing up. He attended my high school graduation, my college graduation and was my father figure to give me away at my wedding.
We confided in one another regarding Mom and he was with me when it was time for her heart pacemaker procedure.
We always had time for telephone calls. During his nursing home days, I tried to call him more often and just have a fun time visiting and reminiscing.
I’m glad he’s resting next to Mom. We both loved her very much and had our own close relationship with her.
He was fortunate to have such a wonderful family to love him so much and take care of him especially in his senior years.
