Nancy, I will certainly miss you. I remember my first few months at Parley Coburn. I was part of the Kindergarten wing even though I taught Instrumental Music. When I first came I was so inundated with students and everything that comes along with getting to know a new job, I didn't really have time to come out of my room and meet the other staff. I remember you, Ruth, Elaine and Camille coming to my room to say hello and let me know you were there if I needed you and welcoming me into your lunch group and some group it was! Oh the fun we had. Oh, the memories and friendships we have. The letter people - as a music teacher I didn't have a clue what they were - but I was certainly introduced to them. There was never a dull moment in your room and the children truly loved you. We also enjoyed quite the dinner parties if I remember correctly. May God Bless You. I am glad you were a part of my life.

Krista and Marta, I was so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a beautiful person inside and out and had a special way with children. Teaching was definitely her calling. The girls and I were so sad to hear of her passing. Please know we are thinking of you at this very sad time and send our love. Rest in Peace Nancy. Aunt Gret

Working in the District office, I became acquainted with Nancy, and her hands-on teaching methods with those adorable kindergartners. I once donated some prom gowns for their dress up parties. Mrs. Lundquest was the one you wanted your child to get on that first day of school. Lucky for me, two of my grandchildren did have her for a teacher. Nancy, you definitely succeeded in your life's work and impacted many of your student's future. Bravo!

It is with a sad heart and tears in my eyes that I write this condolence.Nancy was my teacher,my co worker,my friend. We worked together side by side for over 15 years. We shared the tragic loss of four students. How we made it I will never know...I guess you could say we had each other. We would work together all day then come home and talk on the phone, what we did right that day, what we did wrong.Nancy Always treated me as her equal, her working partner.Nancy never called me an aide. She always made me feel like I had an important place in the classroom.Nancy had that way with the students, they always knew that they were the best at what they did.At least once a week I have former students ask,How is Mrs Lunquest? How I wish I could just tell her ONE more time ,how much I learned from her, how she taught me to be the person I am....how much I love her.Krista and Larry, thank you for taking such good care of my friend.I knew she was in good hands.Bless you both.I knew when she went to live with you that she would be loved and cared for.Nancy will be forever in my heart, thoughts and prayers. All of her co workers,Brenda,Camile,Elaine ,Helen,Linda,Toni and myself will still be telling stories of all our adventures...good and bad.How we all laughed and cried together. We are friends forever.Nancy I love you.

Mrs. Lundquest was such a big part of growing up on Larchmont Rd. Her laugh, her generosity - always made me feel good inside. Thinking of you!
