Addison, NY | Carl F. Bulkley, 70, of County Route 86, Addison, died suddenly on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Corning Hospital following a motor vehicle accident in Tuscarora. Born in Bath, NY on May 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary Bronson Bulkley. Carl went to work for Corning Glass Works in 1964. He left there to serve in the US Army for three years and returned to Corning following his hitch in the military. He worked in various Corning plants during his career with them but most of his time was spent at the Refractory plant where he worked as a grinder. He retired in 2001. On September 2, 1967, he and the former Susan Morseman were married in Freeman, NY. An avid fisherman and motorcyclist, Carl also enjoyed spending time with his buddies sharing a cup of coffee. His beloved grandchildren had a way of making Carl's soft side appear. He was a former member of both the Addison Eagles Aerie and the Tuscarora Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Bulkley at home, his children, Adam Bulkley of Addison, Bridget Bulkley (Dennis Abbott) of Addison and Carrie (Johnny) Adames of Elkland, Pa., his grandchildren, Codey Bulkley, Caitlin Bulkley, Caleb Abbott and Paige Abbott, his sisters, Sandra (Bill) Demonia of Hartselle, Alabama, Joyce (Gerald) Nichols of Auburn, NY and Annette Hoad of Bath, his brothers, Robert (Pearl) Bulkley of Bath, Fred (Pat) Bulkley of Bath, William (Polly) Bulkley of Savona and Richard (Sandy) Bulkley of Savona, along with many nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his infant brother and sister, Edwin and Bertha. A time of remembrance will be held in Carl's memory on Saturday, December 13 from 2 to 5 PM at the Addison Eagles Club, St. Rte. 417, Addison. Burial will be made at a later date in Addison Hill Cemetery, Town of Tuscarora.
