Jon was one of the finest people I have ever met. He always knew when to take the lead or be humble, have fun or get serious, be loving or put up his defenses. He always made everyone happy and comfortable. Loved him. Miss him.

All I can say is he took time to help and add to his friends a 7 year old boy that was new to the potter family (herman,bert) .he made me feel like I was part of the potter clan from the first day I met him,playing basketball,building a fort With his friends.Just think of the last time a 12 year old has made a 7 year old stranger feel like he was part of his friends group. Then after Jon had is own family still had time to play football on Sundays with the same friend's.You never left his house without a smile on your face,and joy in your heart RIP Thanks for making me feel like i was a Friend first cousin last. Thank YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES

Jon was one of Troupsburg's finest! My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Kim, Michelle, Margaret, Marie, Kathleen and Lori. I have many fond memories of the times our families spent together. Tom certainly captured Jon's essence in his wonderfully written obituary.

Although we did not have a chance to see each other often, when we were able to talk we always enjoyed each others company and laughed a lot. Much like his dad, Jon had a way of making people feel comfortable with his relaxed manor and stories. I and all of his other relatives here in Alaska will miss him.
