Thank you for making pulbic this historic launch of mandatory LGBT cultural competence care in all NYC municipal hospitals. I do believe it will make a difference in the actual health status of LGBT New Yorkers. My deepest wish is that it will spur other healthcare facilities, universities and social service organizations to follow suit. While I am incredibly proud of the curricula my organization developed for this project (and we would do the same for any other group), the real success of this project is based on the unwavering support the top administrators gave to it. Without that, it would languish as one more interesting in-service available to any department that thought to request it.
